Staatliches Bauhaus was a German school of design that was founded in 1919 and was closed by the Nazi party in 1933. Many of the involved artists fled, and continued to teach idealistic precepts throughout Western Europe, the United States, and Israel. Bauhaus showed a deep love of simple geometry, designers realized linear and geometrical works and avoided the use of floral or curvilinear (and useless) decorations.
