David Marchi Art

David is a self-taught abstract expressionist artist. Surrounded by creative influences throughout his life, his father, a commercial builder and his mother, an award-winning photographer, exposed him to architecture and photo creativity. A boat accident in May 2015 fractured his back and left him with severe nerve damage in both hands. This accident stopped him from doing everything he loved.

On May 10th 2015 at 1:11 am, David woke up with an unstoppable urge to paint.

He found an old easel and paints his children gave him 5 years ago. Opened it up, salvaged what he could from it and put a brush to canvas for the first time. He has not stopped since.

David creates "daring" acrylic abstracts that dance with passion and unpredictability. He paints beautiful, riotous gradients, and then creates large-scale graphic designs on top. Often, elements clash – colors, patterns, or lines.
